The acronym M.A.Y.D.S. stands for Medicine at Your Door Step. It is a new project in Kenya that was started by our late Sr. Francisca with the aim of providing alternative medicine from traditional herbs and spices. The vision of the project is to grow medicinal herbs to allow God's healing touch to work in the plants. This is a sustainable business based on Christian values that serves all people without discrimination of gender or religion. MAYDS has joined forces with other Christian organizations to develop the knowledge for the cultivation, preparation and use of medicinal plants (e.g. Artemisia for malaria and AIDS). The cultivation areas are to be expanded, technical equipment is needed and well drilling is planned.
