On October 1, 2023 Peramiho with the whole Archdiocese of Songea celebrated the jubilee of 125 years Christianity in the region, as in 1898 the first Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Cassian Spiss on the hill of Peramiho.
In preparation for this great event on September 17, the Missionary Benedictine Sisters and St. Ottilien Monks, Peramiho Abbey launched the 125 Jubilee songs entitled “Jubilei Ya Baraka”, translated as Jubilee of Blessings. The Jubilee music album is dedicated in honor of all missionaries who worked tirelessly for the past 125 years in Peramiho and in the whole Archdiocese of Songea.
