Closing of International Treasurers' Meeting (ITM)

On Saturday, September 30, the International Treasurers' Meeting came to an end. 

 

In the morning the closing mass was celebrated with international songs ...

and an offertory procession, bringing to the altar the work done.

Towards the end of Holy Mass, the sisters received the blessing for the journey ahead.

After holy mass and breakfast, the work was concluded 

with finalising and voting on the guidelines for treasurers.

In her closing remarks M. Maoro congratulated all participants for the work accomplished. She highlighted that the whole process was spiritual and synodal. She closed with the following invitation:

The Church’s teachings invite us to a prophetic presence in this world. “The consecrated are urged to 
build a meaningful future for the generations to come and to transform not only institutions but also lifestyles and encourage a better future for all peoples.” Your ministry has been expanded to the world and the whole creation. 

With this deepened role of a Missionary Benedictine treasurer and renewed vision,
