On Pentecost the Church celebrates its own birthday with the sending of the Holy Spirit.
Besides the Eucharistic celebration and the liturgy of the hours,
we in the Casa community follow an old tradition
to distribute on this day the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Every sisters receives a small card in form of a dove
with one gift and one fruit of the Holy Spirit.
The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord.
The 12 fruits of the Holy Spirit are: charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity, mildness, faith, modesty, continence and chastity.
