The Way of the Cross with the Pope's Intention

 Lenten time is a special season for Christians to delve deeper into the paschal mystery,
the mystery of suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We follow Jesus on his way of the cross,
united with Pope Francis and the whole Church.
We invite you to join us too.




Loving God, 

we unite our hearts in prayer as we make this journey with Jesus, 
reflecting on his passion and death, 
and seeking to deepen our love for you and for one another.


1st Station: Jesus is Condemned to Death

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World





▶  Lord Jesus, we pray they be protected and strengthened in their faith 
and may they find ways to live out their beliefs in peace.



2nd Station: Jesus Carries His Cross

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.

 






Lord Jesus, We lift up to you those who are facing difficult decisions, those who are struggling with mental health issues, and those who are trying to find their place in the world.

  

3rd Station: Jesus Falls the First Time

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.






 Lord Jesus, Help us to reduce our own carbon footprint and to work towards a world that values the preservation and restoration of our natural resources.

 

4th Station: Jesus Meets His Mother

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.




 Lord Jesus, We ask that you guide and strengthen parents in their efforts to raise their children with love, patience, and wisdom. May they find joy and fulfillment in their vocation as parents, and may their families be blessed with your grace and peace.

  

5th Station: Simon of Cyrene Helps Jesus Carry the Cross

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.





 Lord Jesus, We ask that you bless their tireless efforts to help those in need, especially in times of natural disasters. and may their selfless acts of love inspire others to join in their noble cause and continue to be a light in he darkness of the world.

 

6th Station: Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.


 


Lord Jesus, We ask that you bless them with your compassion and inspire others to follow their example. We also pray for all those who are in need of comfort and solace, that they may find hope and consolation in your loving presence.

 

7th Station: Jesus Falls the Second Time

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.



 


Lord Jesus, We ask that they may find the strength and support to keep going and that they may receive the help and care they need to recover.

  

8th Station: Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.



 


Lord Jesus, We pray for all those who are living in poverty and struggling to provide for their families, especially children who are affected by malnutrition and lack of access to education. May they receive the support and resources they need to break the cycle of poverty.


9th Station: Jesus Falls the Third Time

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.



 


Lord Jesus, We ask that you strengthen them and protect them from harm, and that you inspire us to work for their liberation and the restoration of their dignity.


10th Station: Jesus is Stripped of His Garments

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.

 




Lord Jesus, May we never forget that every person is created in your image and likeness, and that we are called to love and serve our neighbors, regardless of their background or circumstances.


11th Station: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.

 





Lord Jesus, We ask that you strengthen them in their faith and their hope, and that you inspire us to work for a world where every person can live in peace and security.

 

12th Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.




 


Lord Jesus, We ask that you welcome them into your loving embrace and they receive the care and understanding they need to heal and recover.

 

 

13th Station: Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World. 

 




Lord Jesus, We ask that you comfort them in their pain and sorrow, and that you give them hope in the promise of your resurrection. We also pray for all those who work to bring peace and reconciliation to our broken world, that they may be strengthened and sustained in their efforts.


14th Station: Jesus is Laid in the Tomb

We Adore You, O Christ, and We Praise You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You Have Redeemed the World.
