The International Weeks of Encounter 2026 from April 16 - May 22, 2026
The International Weeks of Encounter 2026, held from April 16 to May 22, 2026, became a beautiful journey of communion, prayer, learning, and intercultural sharing among the Benedictine Missionary Sisters of Tutzing. Gathering participants from 10 different communities — representing 9 Priories and one from the Generalate District — the program fostered deeper unity in our international congregation and strengthened the bonds of sisterhood across cultures and missions.
Throughout the weeks, the IWE participants engaged in moments of prayer, formation, pilgrimage, community life, and shared experiences that enriched both heart and spirit. Coming from different parts of the world, each sister brought the richness of her own culture, experiences, and missionary journey, creating a vibrant atmosphere of mutual understanding and Benedictine hospitality.
The International Weeks of Encounter 2026 served not only as a time of formation and renewal, but also as a living experience of our congregation’s internationality — walking together in faith, listening to one another, and growing as one community in Christ.
