Grain prices are rising due to the war in Ukraine, and the effects of higher prices are also being felt in Kenya and Tanzania. In addition, there have been massive rainfalls in recent months and devastating floods as well as the destruction of arable land. Our sisters in Tanzania, especially Sr. Consolata Mey OSB, visit the poor in the villages and distribute food and medicines to needy families. Many children only get ugali, the traditional maize porridge and some beans, so the children often suffer from a one-sided diet.
Monthly Sr. Consolata needs 250,00 Euro.
