Casa Community: Energy transition to renewable energy

Presently, the Casa community is undergoing structural changes to transform the energy system to renewable energy. The work started in May after signing the contract with the firm and the architect. As first step in May the so-called lifeline and then the 225 solar panels were fixed on all roofs facing South.

The second step is the installation of all together 61 internal units in each room and the connection.

On July 17, the external units of VRF (variable refrigerant flow) were lifted up to the roof and will be connected with the solar panels and the internal units.

A last step will be after the General Chapter in November the installation of a new heating plant for more energy effectivity.

This system will be able to provide heating in winter and cooling in summer in each room through the energy generated by the solar panels. With this we will contribute to the reduction of use of fossil fuels and thus to the protection of our common home.

We thank all who help us to realize this plan
and God for his continued protection from all harm and accidents.

That in all things God may be glorified!
