Exhibition of “Silvery Sound”: Wongok Nursing Home

A community of adults with impaired hearing, St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Wongok held the annual exhibition, Silvery Sound on Oct. 22~28. On the first day of this exhibition, Mother Prioress Sr. Illumina and some Sisters attended the opening and congratulated to those, who had participated and prepared. Their works of paintings, porcelains and leather goods were displayed in the lecture room and courtyards.

All objects were made by the residents of St. Joseph’s nursing home and could be purchased. They are not professional, but one can feel the passion and devotion, with which the art works were produced. In spite of their hearing impairment, the residents are always positive and cheerful.

We are already waiting for next year’s exhibition. May God bless those, who planned this event, especially Directress Sr. Lucia and all the staff members of this lovely Nursing Home.

Exhibition of Candle Art

Candle Arts were displayed at the entrance of the chapel from 15th to 16th November. These candles were made by sisters who had participated in the candle art class conducted by Sr. Johan Lee from last June till now. The candle designs were simple in the beginning of the class,  however, they became more colorful and beautiful as the class advanced.
