Offering of the resolution cards at the beginning of the Season of Creation
On 04 September, the day of Creation, we offered cards with our resolutions at the altar, as we entered the chapel in procession for the night prayer.
The altar was decorated with the image of the burning bush, logo of this year's Season of Creation. We prayed that the fire of the Holy Spirit may inflame our heart more ardently, so that we may become more faithful to the call to listen to creation and to take care of our common home, the earth.
On 4 October, the last day of the Season of Creation and feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the closing mass for the Season of Creation 2022 was celebrated. At the beginning of the mass Novice Christina offered a model tree created for the implementation of the conservation of the ecosystem. It was made from used carton boxes and a copy of ‘burning bush’ - the logo of the Season of Creation 2022. During the time of ‘Season of Creation’ it was placed in front of the chapel.
After the sermon we looked back at the community activities done together during the season of creation through a short video clip. Some photos, showed big smiles on our faces. Despite doing dirty work, it made us feel deeply the power and beauty of community.
