In the celebration of Grandparents' Day, 07/26, the Elderly, assisted by the Social Educator, made cookies and then presented them to all the grandmothers residing at St. Benedict´s Home (Nursing Home), the Sisters were also able to taste. They were delicious! Congratulations, gifted grannies, you all worked well
Our community had a moment of reflection on “walking together, making the journey together”,
having as motivation the video about the disciples of Emmaus. We have reviewed what was asked of
us in the Canonical Visit, and we have pointed out what we have already been able to accomplish.
Mother Elenice visited the Sisters at their places of work. At St. Benedict´s Home, the elderly were doing their painting activities, memory exercises and games, and they even helped Mrs. Mª dos Anjos to beat Fr. Borges and Mr. Carlos in playing domino. She also took a walk with Sr. Deolinda at the backyard farm of the convent, and observed the variety of fruits and vegetables that are a great help to our Nursing Home´s kitchen. God works wonders, gives strength and joy to those who love him. Even without rain and with the very high temperature this year, we managed to reap the fruits of the land and work in our farm.
