To sense each creature singing the hymn of its existence
is to live joyfully in God’s love and hope. Laudato Si 85
The Casa Community marked the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation with a special liturgy. The morning mass was concelebrated by four priests from the neighbouring Korean College, who had stayed some time of their summer vacation with us.
During the offertory the fruits of our garden, which we could harvest so bountifully, were brought to the altar in a processional dance.
Different instruments accompanied our joyful singing.
The offered fruits were donated the following day to Community of Sant'Egidio for the care of the poor.
The celebration was at the same time the end of the summer holidays for the Korean priests, who stayed with us and celebrated the daily holy mass with us. We enjoyed very much their presence with us.
We thank them for their readiness to be near to us and help us.
In order to be closer to nature we celebrated vespers in our garden.
We could feel the breeze of the wind and listen to the singing of the birds.
Singing without organ sharpened our ears to listen to each other.
As one community called together in all our differences we are tasked to care of the resources entrusted to us, to listen to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.
Cats and birds were actively participating in our prayer.

and bring to the Father the whole of creation." Constitutions III, 5
