On September 18, 2019 started the International Weeks of Encounter in Rome.
22 Sisters arrived from all over the world to participate in this program for 30 days in Rome and one week in Tutzing. It was a time of sharing, pilgrimages and spiritual renewal.
All Participants together with the Generalate
During the Opening Liturgy the participants gathered around the Logo of the XIII General Chapter.
Each one held the light, symbol of their own vocation and giftedness, in her hands.
One after the other placed her light on the Logo, sign of our Congregation. Thus our Congregation may become a light shining in the darkness of the world.
The sisters listened to different conferences, here on the Rule of St Benedict, given by Sr. Aquinata Boeckmann.
During various pilgrimages the sisters came in touch with the places, where our ancestors in faith walked, here Campo Santo Teutonico, the place of the former Circus of Nero, where many of the early Christians were martyred, and where our first sisters made their profession before leaving to Tanganyika, that time German East Africa.
